Curiosity is the first step of the journey.
"So first of all thank you for your curiosity, as this is the catalyst for change. Across all continents and all cultures, our ancestors have gathered around the fire and crafted ceremonies with these powerful plant teachers.
The ceremonies MAGMA specializes in are therefore rooted in ancient traditions, hundreds or even thousands of years old. We like to call them Jurassic Technologies. As these ceremonies are embedded in indigenous culture they will go on with or without us, so what we offer is far from a regular psychedelic retreat, often a room full of beginners. We get to sit with the masters of the field.
We at MAGMA will help you find your unique journey. There are many different plant teachers and a jungle of different kinds of ceremonies and traditions to navigate.
We provide careful preparation through meditation, nutrition, and the development of an existential vocabulary. This works to give you the tools to make sense of your inner landscape in and after the ceremony.
Before, during and after the trip, we focus on prep and integration together with experienced teachers, psychologists, and medical professionals.

Tom Ryott Malmros
Founder & Consciousness Explorer
Tom Ryott Malmros is a consciousness explorer, and the founding force behind MAGMA. His work sits at the intersection of ancient wisdom and modern understanding.
His teacher Pablo has given him the ceremonial name Chacarona, meaning “the bridge builder.” The name reflects his role: helping people cross the bridge between modern life and ancient plant teaching traditions.
Having journeyed across continents to sit with indigenous masters and lineage-holders, Tom brings a rare depth of experience to his role as concierge and guide. He does not lead ceremonies — he creates the conditions for you to meet the right teachers.
His approach is grounded in the belief that the most profound healing comes not from the medicine alone, but from the quality of preparation, the integrity of the container, and the depth of integration that follows.
